Chow Chow puppies belong to a very old breed of dogs and are believed to have evolved from China. The name Chow Chow was given by people who brought this breed to England. The shipment through which they were transferred was called “Chow Chow”, from where the dog got its name. They were used for a number of tasks such as for drawing sleds, hunting and also as food. Chow Chow puppies are always known and recognized for their loyalty and bonding with their owners. Early socialization and training is recommended to ensure expected behaviour from Chow Chow puppies.
They have an aggressive nature and extincts usually because of improper breeding put into practice but if trained properly they can adjust accordingly. They are good with other pets and kids in the family. Keep in mind to have an obedience training with the chow chow puppies to make it sure that they are not aggressive. Proper exercise and temperament training will definitely lead to good results. They have a thick coat which enables them to be the favorites for cold environments.
Chow Chow puppies require daily grooming and cleaning as they have a double layered and thick coat. Proper brushing is necessary on a regular basis to avoid problems later. Usually this breed does not have health issues to be taken care of, but still proper check ups are required to rule out some susceptibilities. The most common being the dysplasia of Hip and elbow. They also have a snoring problem. Chow chow puppies are not attention seekers and can live in isolation for some time. Chow Chow puppies’ lifespan is almost around 15 years, so the relationship you frame with them in early days of their lives will make sure that you have a great relationship.
